This paper reports the fact finding survey on the consumption and quality of crushed sand produced in domestic. It is found that more than half of ready mixed concrete among all ready mixed concrete manufacturer use crushed sand and they used it as a substitution of river sand, which ranged from 20~50% of river sand. Criteria regarding mixed sand should be needed to provide since the absence of proper criteria on mixed sand. Most crushed sand produced in domestic satisfied the criteria concerning physical properties based on the results of sample test. However, Grain Shape Judgment Percentage of Absolute Volume of 6 manufacturer does not meet the criteria and particle size distribution has a remarkable alteration depending on the place of production. 18 samples out of 29 samples tested is deviated from minimum range of standard grading curve by KS. This can be explained that crushed sand is used to satisfy grading of river sand in each region.
