Recently people who enjoy camping have increased due to the implementation of the five-day work week and substitute holiday. Especially glamping, which is one of the most comfortable types of camping, is getting limelight. However, there are still about 40% of unregistered camping sites and the principles for the registration of glamping sites are so vague that the risk for the accident are getting higher. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to prevent disasters and to activate the registration of glamping sites by setting the safety standard through analyzing the status and risk of glamping sites. Based on 147 samples of the glamping registration data from Korea Tourism Organization, the spatial information related to the landslides, floods and forest fires was collected and analyzed by the spatial tool programs; Arc GIS and R package. The results were as follows : 1) Single operation glamping sites were increasing and more than half was located in the suburbs of the capital area. 2) Measures for the management of glamping sites need to be prepared because the percentage of the glamping sites in the calamity danger districts are very high; the percent of landslides, floods, forest fires are 68, 48.2, and 25.7. Therefore, the registration system of glamping sites should be improved by proposing the safety standard of the registration system.
